DF Chair to Okaz: Lack of clinics doubles gangrene cases

General Supervisor of the chair Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi Research diabetic foot and Professor of Surgery and Consultant Vascular Surgery at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Professor Hassan Ali Al-Zahrani, has revealed to Okaz newspaper that the amputations as a result of diabetes in Jeddah up to 345 annually, while in Riyadh, up to 814 as a result of the high number of residents in ​​Riyadh  area, while in the Kingdom, the number of cases of amputation of up to four thousand a year, expected to increase in the coming years with the growing population and the increasing incidence of diabetes, especially type II.
