Diabetic Foot Infection


 
 
People with diabetes have a predisposition for an bacterial bacteremia, especially in the feet, after an injury or a small wound in the skin, for many reasons:
o physical Immunodeficiency
o lack of emotion
o lack of blood supply, and lack of antibiotics and physical (white blood cells) to reach the affected area
o increasing the proportion of sugar in the blood to be a fertile ground for breeding bacteria
 
Localized inflammation:
o there will be a small area of inflamed, and shows the swelling and redness of the skin, with the hottest place in the
o the patient may not feel pain as a result of the presence of neuropathy and lack of emotion
o the rest of the foot be sound
o can be treated with antibiotics by mouth
